Christmas Card Reveal (+ Giveaway)

TGIF, friends!! For this week’s 5 on Friday I’ll be revealing our very first Christmas card (yay!) and sharing my five favorite ornaments. Growing up, my family always had a mix & match tree full of fun ornaments and Ryan & I have started our own tradition of collection ornaments from places that we’ve traveled. Ps. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom for a giveaway you don’t want to miss. Trust me.
one // The newest addition to our tree is our lovely little ornament from the Grove Park Inn where we got engaged! I was so excited to find this in our room after the proposal and it will always serve as a reminder of that super special day for me and my fiancé. 

two // The chocolate covered strawberry reminds me of my Zeta Tau Alpha sorority days. The strawberry was one of our symbols and this is one of the few ornaments that I’ve held onto since college. Plus, I think it looks super delicious!
three // Last year was my very first time visiting the Biltmore House and it was extra special during Christmas time. I loved that I got to go with Ryan and his family and I couldn’t imagine a more magical place to be for the holidays!
four // My friend Kelly got me this little snow globe my freshman year of college and it has a cute little quote and is engraved with our initials. This one definitely has some sentimental value plus I love it because it’s pink!
five // Last year, Ryan’s dad and stepmom got me the cutest little ornament ever that definitely has a special place in my heart. This is the cutest little lab coat with a stethoscope personalized with my name to commemorate my time in PA school (ps. only 1 year until graduation!!)

Winter Outfit Inspiration

Each box has a gold trim with a fun pattern lining the inside. Of course the front labels have the cutesy Kate Spade sayings, my favorite being “put a lid on it.” These would be great to store ornaments, stationery, and other goodies. Boxes are usually stored in a closet, but these are way too cute to put away so they have found their home in our living room!

I have been using a similar drawstring bag when I travel, but I love that these are labeled so you no longer have to worry about wheat’s clean or dirty. Happiest 5 on Friday!


Soooo guess who has a whole month off for the holidays?? THIS GIRL!! I seriously can’t contain how excited I am to have an entire month to relax (and do some major wedding planning)!! Ryan seriously couldn’t have planned this proposal better. And let me tell you, this week has been pretty crazy- it has been tough to juggle being newly engaged and studying for a super important test that was at 7:30 am this morning (yes… that early) but at least it’s all behind me and now I get to catch up with my classmates! Here are my Friday five for the week:







One // Engaged!





This week has been an extra happy one! We have gotten so much love from family, friends, and of course all you bloggers out there. Thank you for your sweet words and comments, it means so much to both of us. If you missed our engagement story, be sure to check out Part 1 & Part 2! When we got back from Asheville on Saturday, we met our besties at 5Church and they were sweet enough to get us a bottle of Prosecco, my favorite bubbly. We followed that with some Moscow mules at Cowbell in honor of my hometown. 








Two // Christmas Cards…


 




Are on their way! This was our first year making a photo Christmas card and I am in love with them!  Who doesn’t like a personalized touch? I used Tiny Prints and am very pleased with how they turned out and their customer service was excellent- they even sent me a handwritten thank you card after placing my order. Can’t wait to share them with y’all but for now, here’s a little sneak peek!









Three // We Have a Tree!







I’m very happy to announce that I finally got my very first real Christmas tree!!! That’s right people, I grew up with a nice but fake tree every year so I never got the experience of picking out “the perfect one” or the fresh Christmas-y scent filling the house. Ryan has always had a little baby tree in his condo, but I finally convinced him that we need to do it right this year. 






















Four // Swoozies 







On Wednesday, I went to the new Swoozie’s in Charlotte for a girls night out. I got to meet up with a few bloggers and stocked up on some gifts for the holidays. The best part may have been the swag bag- how freakin’ cute is this wine glass?! It would make the perfect gift for your favorite North Carolinian! I can’t wait to go back and raid the wedding section… this could get dangerous.






















Five // First Engagement Gift







Not only did my best friends decorate our door, but they also got us our very first engagement gift! It’s the cutest little ring dish to place by the kitchen sink… because no one should be washing grimy dishes with their ring on! I also want to give a shout out to Ryan’s parents for the sweet card- I can’t believe I’m going to be a daughter-in-law!

Happy Thursday, friends!! I wanted to share with you this outfit that I wore on Saturday night when Ryan & I met our friends to celebrate our exciting news. Our first stop was 5Church, one of my favorite places to go in the Queen City. I always want to look put together when I show up there so this white peplum top paired with my coated skinnies was the perfect combo! I’m in love with this top from Lookbook Store and it has quickly become a new winter favorite. The structured shoulders mixed with the girly ruffles make for a perfect going-out top… especially when you want to look cute and stay warm!
