Plaid + Herringbone

For date night on Saturday, I decided to sport the ultimate fall combo, plaid and herringbone. This vest has been sitting in my closet for several weeks way too long and the cold front that came in this weekend definitely called for some layers. I haven’t owned a plaid shirt in years (crazy, I know) and was super excited to snatch this one up from Old Navy. It’s quite the popular shirt these days and I just had to have it! Not only is it plaid, but flannel plaid which makes it super soft & cozy. 





I paired it with my Reva flats and my go-to black skinnies from Gap. I have been wearing these for years and they are a fall staple in my book- you gotta have black stretchy pants, right?? They are “legging jeans” but aren’t actually denim… more of a thick & stretchy cotton/spandex material that are like leggings but thicker, with a front zipper, and back pockets. Score!





I feel like all I’m missing is some bright orange leaves to go with my fall ensemble but our peak colors won’t hit until the end of October/November. I have been spotting little signs of foliage and  it gets me pretty excited- can’t wait for the roads to be lined with red, yellow, and orange trees. T.G.I.F(all)!
