The holiday season is here and in full swing! All the decor is up in our house and Ryan put up lights on our roof this week (yay!) so we’re officially ready for Christmas. Today I’m excited to share a festive look that’s perfect for any upcoming holiday party!
I’m a huge fan of velvet for the holidays and to be honest don’t own too many skirts so I thought this one by BLANKNYC would be the perfect addition to my winter wardrobe. I love the texture of the crushed velvet and that deep red hue. And just an FYI- this skirt runs quite large. I’m wearing a 25 and normally wear a 26/27 in pants so I would suggest going down at least one size (if a site offers free shipping & returns, I usually order both sizes and return the one that doesn’t fit).
As you all may have noticed, the bell sleeve/tiered sleeve trend has been going strong this season but what I really love about this particular top is the mesh detail on the sleeves. It may be solid black but it’s far from boring- I love it tucked into a skirt but think it would also look great with some printed pants and strappy heels. It’s super affordable at under $15 and also comes in navy and white. I topped off the look with my Moon & Lola confetti tassel earrings and my trusty black Vera Bradley crossbody.

I had a crazy day at work yesterday so I’m excited to squeeze in some relaxation today. Ps. Why has Grey’s not been on for like 3 weeks?! I’m going through withdrawals over here. Ryan & I just finished Big Little Lies (ah-mazing!!) and watched the finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm (my newest guilty pleasure). What show should we watch next… let me know in the comments!!
