Happy humpday, friends! I was so excited that it was finally warm and sunny again this weekend. I was in Charlotte for a brief two days and took full advantage of the sunshine on Saturday. One of my favorite places to spend my weekend afternoons would have to be the rooftop pool at our condo. And what’s my weekend necessity that goes along with lounging at the pool? A nice, tasty drink in my hand!
I recently discovered Palm Breeze spritzers- they’re malt beverages that are the perfect refreshing treat for us ladies. I thought this would be a nice light drink for a hot day by the pool so I picked some up at Harris Teeter and shared a few with Ryan and a few of my friends. Plus they were on sale for $6.99, score!
Palm Breeze sparkling alcohol spritz comes in two tropical flavors, Pineapple Mandarin Orange and Ruby Red Citrus. I went with the pineapple because I’m not really a grapefruit girl, but I’m sure it’s equally tasty. I would describe the drink as fizzy and fruity and a fun alternative to beer. Sweet but not too sweet, if you catch my drift. My favorite way to have it is in a fun glass with a side of fruit and a pretty straw. I chose to drink it as is, but you can always add a shot of your favorite vodka for a little extra kick. Unlike some other malt drinks, these guys are in cans so they’re perfect for toting to the beach or lake (because broken glass is no fun and a lot of places don’t allow it anyway).
With Memorial Day around the corner, I’m getting super excited for all things summer and will definitely be keeping these Palm Breeze spritzers on hand when I need a tasty refreshing drink. For all you ladies that aren’t fans of beer, or just want to try something different, look for these in the drink aisle at your local grocery store!Ps. If any of y’all live in the DC area, Palm Breeze and Blo Blow Dry Bar are having a girls night out event next Monday, May 11th and you can RSVP here.
