And another week bites the dust! We’re pretty much halfway through January and I usually fall into a bit of a slump this time of year BUT we had 70 degree temps here in Charlotte yesterday so I think the sunshine made all of us extra cheerful. Snow last week and spring temps today… southern weather is crazy, y’all! Anyways, I wanted to share this simple outfit with you guys before I head out to take my NCRME Exam this morning (the one that qualifies me to do DOT physicals). Wish me luck y’all… I’m SO ready to have this over with!
This heathered v-neck tee is THE perfect top for leggings and it’s currently on sale for under $25. I promise you, it will be one of your most worn tops! It’s thin, longer in the front and covers your booty, and has a fun cutout in the back. I have been wearing this combo more frequently than I’d like to admit this winter because it’s so easy. And the back cutout adds a little something extra but is still bra-friendly, which is something all of us can appreciate.
I paired it with my gold New Balance sneakers here which gives a more athleisure vibe but have also worn it with my over-the-knee boots to dress it up as well. And y’all, these shoes were seriously the best purchase and are perfect for those days when you’re all about comfort, but still want to feel stylish too. They are light suede which can get dirty if you don’t take care of them so I keep them looking new by spraying leather/suede protectant on them a few times a year. I really like this one because it’s under $10 and “waterproofs” your shoes so they repel dirt and water and makes them much easier to clean when they do get dirty. I also do this to all of my boots!
What are y’alls plans for the weekend?! We have a busy one over here. Ryan’s dad and stepmom will be in town and we will be doing “Christmas” with them since we didn’t get to see them back in December. On the agenda is an arcade bar grand opening, an escape room (these are SO fun!), and our white elephant present exchange. Oh and this weekend I’ll be working at my new home clinic as the solo provider!! Yep, you read that right. My training period ended on Wednesday and while this definitely seems a little intimidating, I feel like I’m ready and up for the challenge. Send lots of positive vibes my way & hope y’all have a fabulous weekend!
