Happy Monday, friends! Travel posts are some of my favorite to write and I’m so excited to finally recap my Labor Day weekend in Miami. Seven of us girls headed down to South Beach for my friend Logan’s bachelorette weekend and we had an awesome time- can’t wait to go back! Ps. It’s a long post but hang in there… lots of fun pictures ahead!

We stayed at the W Hotel residences and our condo was ah-mazing. We had ocean view and plenty of room for the seven of us. On our first night we had dinner at Havana 1957 and ate the most amazing Cuban food. I’m still dreaming about those plantains! We followed that with drinks at The Broken Shaker which had the cutest outdoor lunge areas. Thank goodness the hurricane did not rain on our parade because the weather was beautiful all weekend long.
How cute were these palm print cups from Swoozie’s?!
Saturday morning we woke up and had a yummy breakfast at Orange Blossom which was only 2 blocks away from our hotel. Can I also add that I love how everything in Miami is white and covered in palm trees. The avocado toast with poached egg was on point and after multiple refills of coffee, it was time to hit the beach.

The beach and water were absolutely beautiful but the sand was SO hot you basically had to sprint to the water and back. I had to snag a photo by the pink striped chairs because obviously… It was a photo op waiting to happen. After that we checked out the pool scene which was absolutely gorgeous! After enjoying some lunch and watermelon drinks we headed upstairs to get ready for the night.

Earlier while we were on the beach, our friend Rachael headed up to the room and wouldn’t exactly tell us what she was doing up there. We thought she was being SO shady but turns out, she totally surprised all of us with gorgeous flower crowns to wear for the night!! She is the bomb!

If you follow me on Snapchat (khendley), then you might have seen that we had our very own geofilter made by yours truly! It was such a hit and I cannot wait to make them for every event I host in the future. I’ll be posting a tutorial on how to make your own filter very soon!
We had a little lingerie shower for Logan then we headed to an Italian dinner at Cecconi’s. It definitely ranks in one of the top 5 pretties places I’ve eaten- there were trees with twinkle lights everywhere!!

The only downside to the weekend was our experience at LIV at the Fontainebleau. We were so excited for this to be our “big night out” and headed there straight after dinner. Since the club didn’t open until 12am (so late for this grandma!) we hung around the lobby bar which was pretty fun in itself. Then things went south real quick as we approached the bouncers and they told us we couldn’t wear our flower crowns inside. They would not give us a reason why and as if that wasn’t enough, they told the bride-to-be that she couldn’t wear her sash!!! It was so ridiculous it makes me mad just writing about it. Meanwhile, we saw other bachelorette parties with wigs and veils go inside but we had to deal with this BS. We got some free drinks out of it but it definitely put a damper on the night so if you’re planning to go there with your girls… do your research first!

On Sunday morning, my friend Lindsay & I went to check out the Wynwood Walls and squeezed in some blog photos (see the full post here). After that we met back up with the girls for the most delicious brunch at The Driftwood Room located in The Nautilus Hotel. The buffet spread was quite impressive and they even offered an optional “all day rosé.” This foodie was in heaven because every meal we ate was top notch.

We kept it pretty low key on our last day and lounged by the pool for most of the afternoon. For dinner we decided to order some groceries from Publix and have a taco night. This was such a great idea especially since we were there for three nights. We ended the night by taking a stroll on Lincoln Road and popping into some of the beach shops.

Congrats to making it to the end of the post (told you… tons of photos) but most importantly congrats to my bestie who is getting married next month! Miami is obviously a great spot for a bachelorette weekend but I can’t wait to go back and do some more exploring with the hubs. And as of now I have no more trips planned for the year so… I’m thinking that needs to change real soon!
