I’m Back!!

Hi, blog world- oh how I’ve missed you! I think we have a little catching up to do and while it won’t all happen today, I have lots and lots of great posts coming your way. I have a feeling I might have a little more free time these days 🙂

As you probably know, I’m officially a Mrs. now and I still can’t believe it (yay!). Mrs. Kristina Sapel to be exact… although I’m not eager to tackle the name-changing shenanigans just yet. Our wedding day was something truly special- I loved every minute of it and marrying Ryan made me the happiest girl in the world! Every part of that beautiful Saturday was filled with so many moments that I’ll always remember.

Let’s Get Married!!

Hi friends and happy Friday!! This is the happiest of Fridays because as of tomorrow, I’ll be a married woman. Yes… TOMORROW!! I’m still trying to process this over here. How did our year-and-a-half engagement go by so quickly? I still remember everything about the night we got engaged like it was yesterday.

You may be tired of wedding posts but let’s be honest, planning has taken up a big chunk of my life these past few months. Being the type-A person that I am, I felt better doing most of the wedding tasks myself but don’t worry, I still asked for help when needed. Shoutout to my MOH for stuffing all of our welcome bags and assembling the escort cards! I put lots of time and thought into the details of our wedding and I can’t wait to share them with you very soon. With that came some extra work and added stress- but I know it will all be worth it in the end! Besides, I’m a pretty creative person so I really did enjoy putting my personal touches on the big day.

Life Lately


Happy Monday, friends! So… Apparently I’ve become a once-a-week blogger. How did that happen?!? I’ll be back to regularly scheduled programming soon enough but for now, I thought it was time for a little life update. As you can imagine, things have been crazyyy around here.





Last week I went to a fun little event that was hosted by one of my month-of coordinators from Social 10 Events. I brought my MOH Logan who is also getting married this October and we did what we do best… eat cake! We tasted and rated 6 different cakes and even met another cute engaged couple so you can imagine there was lots of wedding talk. Ps. How fun is this sequined linen?!



Work has been going well. I feel more and more useful everyday but there is still so much to learn. I’m rotating with all of the doctors at my office so it’s great to see how different providers practice. And one of my favorite things… half-days on Fridays. Here is the view from one of the exam rooms- gotta love that Charlotte skyline!



On Friday, Ryan & I had our venue walkthrough with our planners and photographer (yay!!). I seriously don’t know how our big day is less than 2 weeks away. It’s going to be over before we know it so I’m going to do my best to stay present and in the moment on our wedding day. I cannot wait to marry my best friend and be surrounded by all of our favorite people. It’s going to be amazing!

After that, we headed to the Register of Deeds office to get our marriage license to make things really official. It was super quick and easy. That must be a great job because you’re pretty much guaranteed to see happy couples all day long!











On Saturday, we headed to the Hornets playoff game against the Heat. We were 0-2 but the home court advantage definitely kicked in and we made out with a win! We have another game tonight so fingers crossed! The rest of the weekend consisted of a little pool time (finally!) and errands/wedding planning. You know… the usual!










I guess you could say it’s the final countdown- our condo is a complete disaster filled with boxes of wedding presents and all kinds of decorations, paper goods, and just stuff. Everywhere. I’ve had my final fitting, our menus & programs are in, vendors have been paid, and my last big project is the escort cards. Oh, and honeymoon shopping. It’s all coming together y’all and I can’t wait to share the big day with you very soon. Have a fabulous Monday!

Happy Monday, friends!! The Hendley-Sapel wedding countdown is now at 19 days… nineteen!! That’s just under 3 weeks so you could say I’m starting to freak out a little bit. Excited. Anxious. Happy. Overwhelmed. Those are just a few of the feelings going through my system right now and I’m SO excited to be marrying the love of my life… but also to be done with all of this planning!

My Bachelorette Party in Vegas!!

I’m baaaack!!! Did y’all miss me? Last week was complete craziness so this update is a little past due but… life happens. I’m SO excited to share my bachelorette weekend with y’all. Six of my girlfriends and I flew out west to the one and only LAS VEGAS and I can now cross that one off the bucket list!! We packed a lot into the two days we were there and had an absolute blast. My girls totally spoiled me and I only spent $30 the whole weekend. I’d call that a success! Now, let’s get right into the recap.
