We’re Going to Italy! (Recommendations Needed)


That’s right y’all, Ryan & I have officially planned our trip to Europe this spring and I couldn’t be more excited!! We will be heading to the beautiful country of Italy for 10 days in May as we celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Even though I was born in Moscow, I have never been back to Europe and while I’m a little nervous for the long flight, I’m ready to see new sights and experience a new culture. I’m excited to share this with you guys but since I’m kind of clueless when it comes to Eurotrips, I thought I’d reach out for some blogger-to-blogger advice.

Bold & Bright for Winter


Happy February!!! The cold weather is back, y’all. Well.. sort of! The past week was pretty chilly but the high for today is 69. It’s safe to say this was the weirdest January ever, at least here in the south. Anyway, since we found out our closing date a few days ago, house preparations have been taken up a notch and I feel like that has been taking up a major chunk of my time. Our couch and master bed have been ordered, but there is SO much left to do since we are furnishing our townhouse from scratch. I think I’ve looked at pretty much every online furniture store and have visited quite a few stores in the area and am definitely over shopping at this point… but I know it will all be worth it as we watch our home come together!

Pretty in Pink: Under $100

Happy Friday!! I want to thank y’all so much for all the sweet comments on Wednesday’s post. What are the odds that I would post a townhouse update and then get an email THAT NIGHT with our closing day info. That’s right y’all- we are closing on our townhouse on February 28th!!! It feels SO good to finally have a date however that means we start ordering more furniture like ASAP!

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching so I’ve got pink on my mind… and spring for that matter! The weather seems to be cooling down again but I’m ready to bust out the sandals and dresses. Speaking of warm weather, Ryan & I are heading down to Naples, FL for a long weekend next month and I’m counting down the days till I have my toes in the sand! New Year, New Look!

Hi everyone!! Sorry for being MIA last week but… you may notice a few changes here on the blog that I’m super excited about. I took last week off so that I could finally transition Medicine & Manicures from Blogger to WordPress. Yayyy!! This is something that I’ve been wanting to do for a while now (like over 6 months!) but have continued to put it off and put it off. After talking with multiple bloggers and doing my own research, I knew I just needed to bite the bullet and make the switch. And what better time than the start of 2017? It took several days to get the kinks worked out (and still working on some things) but I hope y’all love the new look as much as I do!

My Go-To Top for Leggings Under $25

And another week bites the dust! We’re pretty much halfway through January and I usually fall into a bit of a slump this time of year BUT we had 70 degree temps here in Charlotte yesterday so I think the sunshine made all of us extra cheerful. Snow last week and spring temps today… southern weather is crazy, y’all! Anyways, I wanted to share this simple outfit with you guys before I head out to take my NCRME Exam this morning (the one that qualifies me to do DOT physicals). Wish me luck y’all… I’m SO ready to have this over with!
