It’s no secret that I love me some floral print. My closet actually contains way more solid pieces, but every now and then I love a good print to make a bold statement. I scored this Topshop floral dress the other week on major sale and ended up wearing in on a little sunset cruise. It’s perfect for the transitional weather we have this time of year- not technically summer anymore but still in the 80s! Today I thought I would show you how you can style it for now and later, taking it into the cooler months of fall.
Life Lately
Happy Fri-Yay! I thought I would take today to catch up on what I’ve been up to the past few weeks. So grab a cup of coffee and let’s chat!
For Labor Day, Ryan & I headed to Raleigh to visit our friends Whitney & Chase for the long weekend. I brought along two favorites perfect for travel that I got at The Blog Societies conference last month- this new Vera Bradley duffel and this Lilly Pulitzer tassel scarf. We ate so much delicious food and went to some pretty cool bars and it was just nice to catch up on life. Ps. If you’re ever in Raleigh, you have to check out Watts & Ward. It’s legit the coolest speakeasy I’ve ever been to. Also, their Beer Garden downtown is a great place to hang out and play some games. We’re getting something similar here in Charlotte soon and can’t wait!

Athleisure in the City
Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope everyone had a great weekend- the temps definitely came back up this week in the Carolinas which made it the perfect opportunity to spend some time outside. On Saturday I attended my friend Katie’s baby shower (tea party themed!) and then Ryan & I went on a little sunset cruise on Lake Norman. Sunday we got some things done around the house then went uptown to watch some of the Panther’s game and just enjoy the fresh air. I’m not trying to wish warm weather away by any means, but I am excited to bust out the fall wardrobe. And fall wardrobe means leggings. I consider myself a girly girl and love to dress up, but sometimes you just want to be cute and comfy so I’m glad the athleisure trend is here to stay.
Townhouse Update- Vol. 4

Hey y’all! Please excuse the sporadic blogging lately but I have been crazy busy at work (as in staying until 10:30-11pm the past few nights) and my days off haven’t been very productive. Well, other than catching up on Bachelor in Paradise and getting some workouts in. But anyways, who’s ready for another home update? I will eventually share each room with you guys but let’s be real, that will probably take several more months and I’m just way too impatient. So today I’m sharing a mini update on some of the progress in our new home!
Canon M10 Mirrorless Camera Review

Ever since my trip to Italy, I have been getting a lot of questions about what camera I use. I got my new Canon M10 mirrorless camera shortly after Christmas because I was looking for something that was compact, easy to travel with, but would still give me all the manual functionality and quality photos of a DSLR. Spoiler alert: I cannot sing the praises of this camera enough!! Today I’m sharing my review as well as some sample photos. If you are in the market for a starter camera for blogging or want to add one to your collection for travel, I would suggest checking this one out!
Embroidered Mini Dress
Can y’all believe that August is almost over?! It was in the high 60s/low 70s yesterday here in Charlotte and it definitely felt like fall was creeping in. Not that I’m trying to wish summer away, but fall has always been and will continue to be my favorite season so can’t say I hate it. Today I’m sharing a flowy, blue embroidered dress that can easily take you from summer to fall. Ps. It’s only $20!
