And just like that, Christmas has come and gone! We had a great holiday season and while I’m a little sad it’s over, I’m excited for what the new year will bring. Today I’m sharing a few snaps and a little recap of what we did over the holidays!
First, we had our 2nd annual tacky sweater party and it was a blast!! I love seeing everyones ugliest getups and this year we all voted and I gave out prizes to the top 3 tacky party goers. Ryan got 3rd place- I thought his blazer was pretty awesome! One of my favorite things about the holiday season is hosting get-togethers and bringing all of my best friends together in one place- it makes me so happy!
Ryan’s parents spent a few nights with us over the Christmas holiday. We hosted Christmas Eve dinner here and I baked my first cake!! Yes, you heard right… I’ve never baked a cake before but it wasn’t that hard! We made a white chocolate pound cake that I am still enjoying with my coffee. I also received an early Christmas gift of gold flatware which I was SO excited about because I have been wanting a set for years and it made our tablescape extra special! The centerpiece was super easy- I used fresh greenery and threw in some red berries and love the pop of plaid from the napkins. While I may not be the best cook, I’ve got the decorating down pat! We spent Christmas Day at my sister-in-law’s house and ended the day with full hearts and full bellies!
