Hi, friends! Is it already Monday again?!? Lucky for me, I have today off so don’t mind me while I extend my weekend a little bit. Today’s schedule includes drinking lots of coffee, working on cover letters, watching Grey’s (almost done with season 11), catching up on blog posts, and going to a group class at the YMCA. Even though this weekend was extra gloomy, I managed to squeeze in a few fun activities. I’m linking with my girls Biana & Meghan to recap the weekend so… let’s get to it!
On Saturday, My MOH Logan & I decided to pop into Hayden Olivia, a cute bridal boutique in uptown Charlotte to look around for some wedding accessories. I’m currently on the hunt for a veil, jewelry, and shoes… maybe a belt. Do guys really realize how easy they have it? Tux. Shoes. Done. Anyways, I have my eye on a few pieces but no purchases were made. I figure I have plenty of time, right? And if y’all have any recommendations on heels that are actually comfortable for the wedding day, I’d love to hear!
After a little shopping, Logan & I were feeling some margs so we checked out a newer Mexican restaurant in South End called Hot Taco. Although I didn’t get a meal, I was happy with my margarita mimosa (yes, it was delicious) and queso so I’ll definitely be back!
Ryan & I spent the afternoon cleaning our place, which was much needed. We were planning to cook but had a sudden change of heart (and a handy dandy Groupon) so we got sushi at Emzy. It’s kind of in a hidden spot, but they have some great sushi that’s fairly priced… one of our go-to’s for takeout!
Sunday morning Ryan & I went for a quick run uptown and saw all the Panthers fans tailgating (who are now 8-0!!). Then we met our friends Whitney & Chase for a yummy brunch at Leroy Fox (right at noon of course- this is key on a Sunday). They are known for their chicken and if you go you have to try the hashbrown casserole. This was my first time there but with $4 mimosas and bloody Mary’s… I know I’ll be back!
Sooo I guess we ate out a lot this weekend, but I’m perfectly okay with it! And I don’t know about you guys, but this whole getting dark at 5:30 thing… not a fan. On top of that it has been pretty gray & rainy here in Charlotte so fingers crossed for some sunshine this week. I hope y’all had a great weekend and thanks for stopping by 🙂
