Morning y’all! This Monday brings yet another adventure for me, I’m starting my pediatrics rotation today… so wish me luck! This post is dedicated to the awesome-ness of blogging and some introductions to some of my favorite blogs. My fellow nail-obsessed friend Joey from Hodges Podges asked if I’d like to participate in the Tour of Blogland, and of course I said yes!
WHAT AM I WORKING ON?
A little bit of this, a little bit of that. Several style posts are in the works along with shopping guides (only 51 days til’ Christmas y’all!) and some product reviews. Oh, and some recipes and all things holiday! I also start my pediatrics rotation today so I’ll definitely update you on that experience throughout the month.
HOW DOES MY WORK DIFFER FROM OTHERS IN ITS GENRE?
Well, I started this blog to document my happenings in PA school and it had a slow start. I was just getting used to school, studying 24/7, and would only post about once a week. My blog has definitely evolved since then and I have found myself to really enjoy the style posts and chatting about life in general. I consider it to be a lifestyle blog, but I like to throw in the occasional story from PA school or my clinical rotations to keep things interesting!
WHY DO I WRITE/CREATE WHAT I DO?
Because it’s fun! I have always been creative and loved photography so this is an exciting new outlet for me to play with. I blog so friends and family will know what’s going on with PA school and life in general. I also blog because I’m a girly girl and love to talk about fun stuff like shopping and eating good food. Most importantly, the friendships I have made with my “blog friends” are truly great! I love reading other blogs to see what’s going on in their world and love when I get fun responses on my blog. Conversations lead to meet-ups which lead to new friends- I truly love our little community!
HOW DOES MY WRITING/CREATING PROCESS WORK?
Planning and organization are key and I’m always trying to get better at that. I use the Emily Ley blog planner printables to plan out my posts for the next week- it always helps to get a visual. I also write down (aka type) ideas onto my iPhone notepad whenever inspiration hits. I try to get most of my posts done on the weekend, but truthfully it usually doesn’t happen that way and I need to get better about that!
And now, let’s proceed with the tour! Here are a few of my favorite bloggers- be sure to check them out and show them some love 🙂
Amanda from Meet at the Barre
Melissa from Simply Sweet Melissa
Kate from Green Fashionista
Jessi from Jessi’s Design
