I mean… I just couldn’t resist. That curly JT fro never gets old!
Happy first day of May y’all! It’s Friday, it’s sunny, and I’m back in Charlotte for the (very short) weekend. I left straight after work and got in late yesterday evening and sadly have to leave tomorrow afternoon because I have to work on Sunday- but I’m still super excited to spend some time with Ryan! Let’s jump right in to my five on Friday!
This week, I went out for an improptu Monday night dinner with my roomies and some friends in Raleigh. We went to Buku (where I went for my birthday last year) and it was good to see everyone and catch up. Ps. I had an extra delicious drink and I thought I’d share the ingredients in case anyone was adventurous enough to make it- it’s that yummy!
St. Germain elderflower liqueur
It was a happy mail week here at the apartment. The latest Rocks Box jewels are in and I have to say I’m really loving the delicate Kendra Scott bracelet from the new Via Maya collection as well as the Gorjana necklace. I think this is my 10th Rocks Box or something like that… obviously I’m still hooked! I’ve decided to keep several pieces throughout the months and all I gotta say is… keep ’em coming! If you’ve been thinking about giving it a try, use code: kristinaxoxo for your first month FREE! After that, it’s only $20/month for 3 pieces of high-end fashion jewelry delivered to your door.
What’s my current favorite song you ask? “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa. It’s from the Furious 7 soundtrack and a tribute to the late Paul Walker. It’s got a great beat and that Charlie Puth can sing, but it’s also a little sad when you think about someone dying from something that tragic so young. I didn’t get to see the newest movie in theaters but heard it was one of the best ones and will definitely be catching it on DVD.
Work has been keeping me super busy… but what’s new?? I’ve had a great time so far in PA school and I’ve learned a lot over these last few rotations, but I gotta say… this girl is ready for a job!! I’m really getting to the point where I’m tired of traveling back and forth to Charlotte and just want to settle down with my fiance, start my career, and begin our lives together. You can read about my first week working in inpatient internal medicine here.
Mother’s Day is just around the corner (next Sunday to be exact!) so don’t forget to treat your momma to something special, whether it’s a sweet card, a fun gift, or lunch together. Here are some of my last minute picks- and they’re all under $60!!
cozy robe (comes in lots of colors) // reversible tote bag // Kate Spade travel mug
copper mug // Tory Burch rollerball // Rifle Paper Co. cards // candle
For me, the start of May means I have two big things to look forward to- Katie’s wedding on the 16th and our vacay to St. Maarten on the 24th! I hope y’all enjoy your weekend and hopefully the warm weather will be sticking around this time 🙂
